Paper and Print Impact
PrintReleaf
PrintReleaf connects enterprise print environments to a network of global reforestation projects. Partners certify their paper consumption and trees get planted to offset it. The 12.5 million-page figure at the top of this page is the cumulative result of partners who have enrolled.
The Encompass Print Assessment
Most print environments have built-in waste: redundant equipment, underutilized devices, color where black-and-white would do, outsourced supply costs that compound. Our Encompass Print Assessment maps the full fleet, identifies where volume can be reduced, and recommends changes that cut paper consumption, energy use, and cost in parallel. Partners typically see up to 40% reduction in print costs alongside a corresponding drop in environmental impact.

Energy-Efficient Equipment
We sell equipment with EPEAT ratings. EPEAT is the leading global ecolabel for technology products. EPEAT-rated devices meet Energy Star standards, support take-back and recycling at end-of-life, use recycled materials in manufacturing, default to duplex printing, and disclose supply chain toxins. Specifying EPEAT in equipment selection reduces both energy use and the materials footprint of the equipment you buy.
Pre-Owned Equipment
Equipment that still has life in it doesn’t need to be replaced. We offer Factory Certified Remanufactured Solutions: previously owned equipment, refurbished to manufacturer spec, available to partners looking for a sustainable alternative to new equipment. The most efficient device, environmentally speaking, is one that doesn’t need to be built.
Toner Cartridge Recycling
A typical toner cartridge takes up to 1,000 years to degrade in a landfill. We participate in manufacturer take-back programs, including Toshiba’s, that keep used cartridges out of landfills and back into the supply chain as recycled material. Cartridge return is included in service contracts where available, so the program runs without partners having to think about it.
Automatic Meter Collection
Automatic meter collection eliminates the manual process of reading and reporting print usage across networked printers and copiers. Usage data flows directly to your account. No paper, no spreadsheets, no employee time spent on the task. The accurate data also makes the next round of print volume reduction possible. You can’t optimize what you can’t measure.
